We are excited to announce a new program in Downtown San Diego starting on September 27, 2016! Heal with HeART will be a 3-part art series at the Central Public Library in partnership with Think Dignity.

All levels of artists are welcome to come and create together on the 4th Tuesday in September, October, and November of 2016 from 2:00-5:00 pm. It will culminate in an interactive event featuring the artwork made. Artists will have the opportunity to sell their art at this event to earn an income from their hard work.

If you haven’t heard about Think Dignity, visit their site to learn about the great work they are doing for the homeless community in San Diego. Between their free legal clinics, showers, and transitional storage, they are creating change in the lives of many under-served individuals.

I think it’s great that you guys endeavor to empower the homeless people through leadership and art. Nowadays, it is seldom that we see other people take time for the homeless. Most of us just go on our own ways and it’s as if we do not see them. For some of us, it’s like the homeless are invisible. We don’t look them in the eye. We ignore them as we pass them by. Some people treat them like they do not exist in society. But they do. The homeless are people too, and they deserve a chance. They also need to be heard, and be seen. And through your efforts, the deed is possible. Thank you for your determination and I hope that your tribe will increase.

You are the only person that could heal yourself, or there might exist some person whom relates to your heart. So, make your heart free from negative thoughts and don’t be dependent on someone.
